Cruise Control
- Place Brick in driver's footwell before beginning journey, with a rough face (a) downwards and a (c) face forwards to minimise interference with pedals.
- Drive to a place where continuing at a constant speed will not cause a hazard to other road users.
- Move Brick forward, being sure not to take your eyes from the road, until the front face is just touching the accelerator pedal in its current position.
- Remove foot from pedal, taking care that the Brick is correctly positioned and pedal does not spring back. The rough face on a standard car interior should provide enough frictional resistance to prevent pedal movement. Ensuring that face (c) remains forward should not restrict access to other pedals such as the brake or clutch.
- Sit back and enjoy effort-free forward propulsion. Don't forget to steer.
- In the event that you should wish to change speed, place your foot carefully on the accelerator again, move the Brick back to a safe distance and accelerate or decelerate as necessary.
NOTE: Use of a Brick as a cruise control may be contrary to laws of the country or state you seek to drive in, though it is often not explicitly prohibited.
